About
I am a classically trained composer residing in Bratislava, Slovakia. After studying composition at Conservatory and Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava, I took additional education at Universität fur Musik und darstellende Kunst in Vienna and on composition and other musical courses over Europe.
My fascination not only with music and art but also with natural sciences and the life around us is often transformed into my work, which in principle is not limited by one specific genre or style, which allows me to constantly discover new approaches to creation. In my work, I often use electroacoustic approaches combined with classical instruments, visual elements communicating with music or only vocal/instrumental music .
Own works and projects were performed by top notch musicians from Slovakia at domestic festivals (Melos Éthos, New Slovak Music, NEXT festival, etc.) and also abroad (Austria, Poland, Hungary, Spain, Israel, etc.).
I often compose music for other media, in recent years it has mainly been dance and theater performances, documentaries or radio dramas, thanks to which I have collaborated with excellent local directors and choreographers.
Currently I teach musical courses at Conservatory and Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava, specializing in musical composition, ear training, media composition and theoretical subjects.
I run an NGO “Hurhaj” whose activities are focused on organizing concerts, educational activities mostly in the field of musical composition and creating platforms to support composers’ creative activities with no territorial limits.
